TRAINING

As a training client with New Balance Training, your horse will learn and develop the skills required to be a successful mount, both in and out of the show ring. Jen focuses on building a solid foundation based on trust, confidence, and respect in order to develop a positive partnership with your horse. New Balance Training offers a customized training plan, based on your goals and ambitions for each individual horse. Jen’s training experience includes, but is not limited to: colt starting, skill advancement, “problem” horses, building or maintaining fitness, and groundwork. 

New Balance Training offers several training packages and a la carte options:

PARTIAL TRAINING

  • 2 professional rides OR handlings per week 

FULL TRAINING

  • 4 professional rides OR handlings per week 

  • Training rides may be substituted for lessons on horse in training

LESSONS

Jen offers riding lessons to students of all ages and levels - no experience necessary. Lessons are available on a NBT school horse or your own horse. 

Lessons last 45 minutes. Students are expected to be tacked and warmed up by their designated ride time, except for new clients or those needing assistance. 

HAUL-IN LESSONS

COMPETITION

New Balance Training competes regularly at both schooling and USDF recognized shows. If you’re interested in competing as part of the New Balance team, you must be in a training program. Note, school horses may or may not be available for students to ride in competition.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • 2 lessons per week

  • 2 individual/hack rides per week

CAMPAIGNS

CLINICS
